Studio Policy
Our policies are in place to ensure that lessons run smoothly and effectively, and to protect both the teacher and students.
PAYMENT
Payment is due at the time of the lesson and can be given in cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal.
MISSED LESSONS
In the case of missed or canceled lessons, the instructor should be notified 24 hours in advance. Habitually missed lessons cause scheduling problems and delayed student progress, and can cause your lesson slot to be forfeited.
SICKNESS
If you or your child are ill, please stay home! Even if it’s less than 24 hours before your lesson, if you have so much as a cough or a sniffle, please send a text, and do not come to class.
LATENESS
Unfortunately due to tight scheduling, it often isn’t possible to extend lessons when the student arrives late. If it is possible, it is up to the teacher’s discretion whether or not to extend.
PRACTICE
Students are expected to practice. A good goal is to practice the length of the lesson five days a week. That means if you are taking a 60-minute lesson, you should practice 60 minutes every Monday through Friday. If a student habitually does not practice, they may be dropped from the studio.
